HOME Recruitment x WWF

HOME Recruitment is proud to be partnering with WWF-New Zealand as a sponsor of this year’s Whale Tales!

Every Tail is a one-of-a-kind artwork, created by artists across Aotearoa, with a beautiful tale to tell. Each offers a unique creative experience but all have the same mission: To help us protect our marine environment and its residents, including the mighty Bryde’s whale.

We’re lucky enough to be partnered with, Charlie Baptist, a seamstress who constructs costumes for theatre, TV and film, but often finds herself dabbling in all sorts of creative practices including embroidery, sculpting and painting!

From 24 January- 18 April 2022, 80 Big Broos (large Tail sculptures) and 80 Pēpi (mini Tail sculptures) will dot Auckland’s streets, parks, and open spaces to provide residents and visitors a fresh opportunity to explore the City of Sails.

The legacy of Whale Tales will continue long after the fun of the trail has ended with the sculptures being auctioned to raise significant funds to power the vital work WWF-New Zealand does to look after our moana (ocean) and her marine life throughout Aotearoa, particularly in and around the Hauraki Gulf.

How many have you spotted? Head to Commercial Bay to see ours in the flesh!
