The role

You are responsible for delivering exceptional service to clients, both through delegation and personal involvement.

  • Relationships are your strength and you’ll be excited to work as an extension to your client’s finance function
  • You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end accounting and advisory services to your client portfolio with support from compliance team
  • It will be key to develop a strong understanding of your clients’ industries, business models, and market dynamics to be successful 
  • Always be thinking of the client, hoping to be proactive in anticpating needs, identify opportunities for expanding services and enhancing client satisfaction
  • Comfortable using layman’s terms – communicate complex financial information in a simplified way, ensuring clients understand key concepts
  • Beyond acting as your clients partner you will also become a trusted business advisor, driving the delivery of added value ad-hoc services such as business valuations, cashflow models, and strategic planning assignments
  • Support clients with business advisory services, included but not limited to forecasting, reporting, funding applications etc
  • Supporting the delivery of consulting engagements, including involvement in strategic and operational planning for clients  

About You

  • You’re a CA or CPA with at least 1-2 years PQE within an accounting and finance function, public AND private sector ideal – but more public practice focused!
  • Around 5 years of relevant accounting and/or commercial experience
  • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges of small and medium business and working knowledge of accounting and tax for SMEs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information in a professional and jargon-free manner
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritise workflow
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence and drive performance
  • Ability to ask the right questions and grasp new concepts quickly – whether it is assimilating new information or data, managing a project, or meeting a new client
