About the Opportunity:
Ready to take the next step in your accounting career? We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant who’s had a few solid years’ experience and is keen to step into a role with variety, challenge, and room to grow.
This is not your average number-crunching job: You’ll get exposure across month-end, reporting, reconciliations, banking, treasury, and audit support, with the chance to cross-train and build a genuine understanding of how a finance function operates end-to-end.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Owning reconciliations and helping keep the numbers spot-on
- Supporting month-end processes, journals, and balance sheet reviews
- Assisting with financial reporting, budgets, and variance analysis
- Getting stuck into banking, cashflow, and credit card processing
- Being the go-to support for auditors and reporting requirements
- Backing up team members and pitching in across finance ops when needed
About You
You’re detail-focused but not afraid to ask questions, solve problems, and look for smarter ways to get things done. With around 3 years’ accounting experience under your belt, you’re confident with reconciliations, ERP systems, and Excel, and now you’re ready for more variety, ownership, and responsibility.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Sharp with numbers and detail (accuracy is your thing)
- Comfortable with reconciliations, month-end, and reporting
- Tech-savvy (Excel skills and ERP experience are a must)
- Organised, adaptable, and up for learning new things
- A strong communicator who enjoys being part of a team
