Our client
Our client is a well-established and growing construction business based in East Tamaki, who complete slick residential builds across the North Island. The business has a strong, practical culture and support a diverse client base across aged care and private developments.
The role
This is a hands-on Business Development Manager role where relationships, growth, and brand presence are front and centre. You’ll be responsible for strengthening existing client partnerships, unlocking new opportunities, and driving revenue growth across New Zealand.
You’ll work closely with leadership to elevate the client experience, identify new business, and build a strong, visible market presence through networking, marketing, and strategic outreach.
Key responsibilities include:
- Growing and protecting revenue through strong client relationships
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities (cold, warm, and industry-led)
- Attending industry events and building a strong referral network
- Managing key client accounts post-project handover
- Driving marketing activity, including social media and digital presence
- Tracking leads, opportunities, and performance through CRM
- Providing insights on market trends, client feedback, and opportunities
About you
You’re a commercially savvy relationship-builder who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. You know how to open doors, maintain trust, and turn opportunities into long-term partnerships.
You’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in Business Development or a similar role
- Construction or property industry experience (highly regarded)
- A proven track record of driving business growth and closing deals
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence engaging at all levels, from site to senior leadership
- Experience with CRM systems and digital marketing channels
- Strong organisation, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel as required (car provided)
