About the role:
This 12-month maternity leave contract supports the GM across events, marketing, and communications, with event delivery at the core of the role.
You will lead the planning and execution of key events that engage sponsors, support fundraising outcomes, and strengthen relationships across the organisation’s community.
It is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys ownership, pace, and purpose-driven work. We are looking for someone to bring both experience and heart.
Key responsibilities include:
- Event management at the core of the role, involving the management planning and implementation of the annual events schedule
- Meeting all deadlines for events, budget requirements and ensuring events are relevant and fresh for sponsors attending
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with external vendors, working with event production teams where required
- Manage communications with all stakeholders – including students, alumni, donors and sponsors
- Maintain internal CRM database to ensure all sponsors, stakeholders and students data is accurate
About You:

We’re looking for someone who has:
- Extensive event management experience, including large-scale events
- Fundraising event experience, which will put you ahead of the rest
- Proven marketing experience, including running digital and social channels
- Has a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Natural creative ability to support external designers advising on artwork and branding
- Experience in the development of funding applications, business cases, tenders or similar. An understanding of the NFP environment is beneficial
