People & Culture Advisor

Our Client

With a footprint that now spans New Zealand, Australia, and Asia, this family-run business began nearly 70 years ago and is now a leading player in the manufacture and distribution of high-end, sustainable ventilation solutions.

With a team of 400+ staff based out of their Auckland site, it’s not uncommon to find team members with 30+ years of tenure—something that can be attributed to an inclusive environment, top-tier benefits, and a pretty special People and Culture team!

Due to a recent team member relocating overseas, there is now an opening for an HR Advisor to join the Auckland-based team. In this role, you will contribute across Employment Relations, Learning and Development, Organisational Development, and Employee Engagement.

The Role

  • Provide guidance and support to both employees and line managers on all ER-related matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes
  • Support managers in conducting performance reviews and creating employee development plans
  • Assist with the onboarding experience to ensure a smooth transition for new employees
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related enquiries from both office and field-based staff
  • Lead and support initiatives such as employee surveys, feedback processes, and retention strategies
  • Provide guidance on improving employee satisfaction and fostering a high-performance, continuously improving workplace culture
  • Assess organisational training and development needs, and collaborate with leaders to implement targeted programs
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver tailored training workshops aligned with the People Plan and training calendar
  • Oversee People-related administration, including maintaining org charts, updating templates and policies, and preparing the monthly People report

About You

  • You have 2+ years of ER-related experience and are confident partnering with line managers to support best practices
  • You possess a solid understanding of NZ employment legislation and HR best practices
  • You’re a natural relationship builder and not afraid to put on a high-vis and talk to managers on the factory floor
  • You’re adaptable, keen to learn, and bring exceptional interpersonal skills
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities with ease
