Our client
A well-known name in New Zealand’s tourism, hospitality, and transport sectors is looking for a skilled Talent Specialist to join their team on a six-month fixed-term contract. With the busy season fast approaching, this role will be instrumental in supporting large-scale recruitment efforts ensuring the right people are in the right roles at just the right time.
This is a hands-on environment where variety is the norm and pace is part of the culture. The team is collaborative, solutions-focused, and driven by a shared passion for delivering exceptional experiences to both locals and visitors.
The role
- Run the full recruitment process – from writing job ads and interviewing to managing offers and onboarding
- Get creative with sourcing and headhunting to find top talent, especially during busy hiring periods
- Work closely with leaders and managers to nail down hiring needs that align with business goals
- Coach hiring managers through each step to keep things moving smoothly and efficiently
- Coordinate interviews and lead assessment centres when we’re hiring at scale
- Own the onboarding experience, making sure new hires feel prepped, welcomed, and supported
- Keep new starters engaged with a solid candidate care plan to boost retention
- Team up with marketing to attract talent through social media, job fairs, and uni events
- Pitch in on HR projects like managing fixed-term contracts and supporting business planning
About you
- 3+ years’ experience in end-to-end recruitment (in-house or agency), ideally with exposure to high-volume or seasonal hiring
- Confident sourcing, screening, and coordinating a smooth onboarding experience
- Skilled in running large group inductions and supporting seasonal hiring campaigns
- Comfortable navigating employment contracts and compliance
- Tech-savvy with experience using ATS platforms and recruitment tools
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to juggle competing priorities
- Strong communicator with proven stakeholder management skills
